Watch Our Step-By-Step Video
This short video will show you step-by-step how to download and install your Lightroom Presets to your desktop computer. Please note, you must have the paid Adobe Lightroom Subscription for desktop use. If you'd like to use the presets with the FREE Adobe Mobile App, click here to read the install instructions.
Step 1 - Download the Presets
First, download the CTC Presets Collection to your computer. You can access the download link instantly after you purchase the Creative Travel Couples Presets Collection. If you made an account during checkout, you can also download the files from the My Account page at anytime. If you forgot to create an account during checkout and you already closed out of the instant download page, don't worry! We sent you an email with the link. If you still have problems downloading the files, please use the support page to contact us.
Step 2 - Open Lightroom
Next, open your preferred version of Lightroom and at the top left of your desktop go to "Lightroom" and then click on "Preferences." This will open up a dialog box.
Step 3 - Locate The Presets Folder
Click on the "Presets" tab at the top of the dialog box. Make sure the "Store Presets with this catalog" box is not checked.
The next steps will vary slightly depending on what version of Lightroom you currently have.
- If you have Lightroom Classic version 8.0 or higher, you should see two boxes: one that says "Show Lightroom Develop Presets" and one that says "Show All Other Lightroom Presets." Click on the box that says "Show All Other Lightroom Presets."
- If you have an earlier version of Lightroom Classic (7.0 - 8.0), then you might see only one box that says "Show Lightroom Preset Folder." Click on that one box.
- If you don't have the current version of Lightroom Classic and instead have an older version (Lightroom 5 - 7), then you'll also see a "Show Lightroom Preset Folder" and should click on that one.
Next, choose the "Lightroom" folder and then the "Develop Presets" folder.
Step 4 - Import the Presets
Locate the preset files that you've downloaded to your computer and drag and drop only the CTC Desktop Collection folder into the "Develop Presets" folder. Once this is complete, you need to close down/reset Lightroom and open it back up.
If you're using the current version of Lightroom Classic CC then you should see a pop-up that says "Updating Develop Presets to XMP." You might need to wait a minute for this to show. If you don't see it after a while, close Lightroom once more and open it again. Once the files are done converting to XMP format, you can start using your new presets!
Step 5 - Edit Your Photos!
To the left of your Lightroom application, you'll see a folder called "CTC Desktop Collection" which will contain all 30 presets. To use them, simply click on a preset and make small adjustments to your Temperature, Tint and Exposure!

Step 1 - Download the Presets To Your Phone
You'll want to save the CTC Presets Collection directly to your phone. There are a few different ways you can do this. Please note, you can NOT download the files if you are in the Instagram App. You must exit out and use a web browser.
Technique one is to download the files straight to your phone. First, you'll need to make sure you can unzip files on your phone. Android phones come equipped with this feature. However, if you have an iPhone, you'll need to download an application that will let you unzip the files.
If you have the current Apple IOS version (13.0 and up) you'll need to download the utilities application called "Files."
If you have an older version of IOS, you can download the free app called Unzip.
Once the "Files" or "Unzip"app is installed, download the presets to your phone. You can find the download link instantly after purchase (if you purchased on your phone) or you can download the files from the My Account page if you created an account during checkout. Remember, you need to be using a web browser. If you purchased the presets within the Instagram App, you won't be able to properly download the files until you switch to a web browser. You can also find the email that was sent to you with the download link. No matter which method you choose, click download.
Please note, if you are using IOS 13+ then your download page will open up to your most recent browser session and the download will be placed in the top right hand corner of your phone.
If you're using the current IOS 13 and the "Files" utilities application, simply open the zip files once it's downloaded and then tap the zip files to expand the folder. You should now see a folder for the CTC Presets with the items inside.
If you have an older version of IOS and are using the "Unzip" app, you should select "More" and scroll to the right until you see "Copy to Unzip." Choose that. Tap the orange folder containing your preset files and it should duplicate to a yellow folder. That's the folder that will contain all your presets!
Technique two is to AirDrop the 30 photos from your desktop computer to your iPhone. Download the presets straight to your desktop and highlight all DNG photos. Next, AirDrop them to your iPhone. The photos might show up blank, but don't worry. They are still there.
Once you have the files downloaded and unzipped, you're ready to proceed to the next step.
Step 2 - Open The Adobe Lightroom CC Mobile App
Start by creating an album to store the presets. Click the "+" icon and choose to create a new "Album." Name it whatever you'd like (we suggest CTC Presets) and click save.
Step 3 - Import The Presets
Go into the Album you just created and press the add folder button. Then choose "Add from Files" and locate the files you saved and unzipped on your phone.
Locate the CTC Mobile Collection folder and add all the files into the album. You can use the Select -> Select All -> Open path. You might need to wait a few moments for the photos to load and eventually you should now see all photos with the preset names across the front. Remember to make sure you added the "CTC Mobile Collection" and not the "CTC Desktop Collection" files.
If you can't find the "Files" or "Unzip" folder, chances are you are not in the correct location. Choose the "Locations" back button at the top left of your screen and then navigate to the correct location.
If using the "Files" app, you should find the downloads folder either under "Favorites" or "iCloud Drive -> Downloads"
If using the Unzip app, you can find the folder under -> "On My iPhone" and you should now be able to see the correct CTC preset folder. Click that folder and continue navigating until you reach the mobile presets.
** If you used the Airdrop method and instead have the photos saved straight to your phone. Instead of choosing "Add from Files" you should choose "Add From All Photos" and then import all DNG photo files.
Step 4 - Save The Presets
Click on the first preset (for this example, we'll use "Adrift") and then at the top right choose the 3 dots. Click "Create Preset" a name the preset the exact name you see as the photo's title (Adrift). Make sure "Profile, Light, Color, Effects, and Detail" are selected and then click the checkmark at the top right corner.
Unfortunately, you'll need to repeat these steps for all presets. Go ahead not and repeat these steps for the remaining photo presets.
Step 5 - Edit Your Photos!
Now that your presets have been saved and imported into Lightroom mobile, it's time for you to edit a photo! Add the photo you'd like to edit and then scroll to the right until you see the "Presets" tab. Click that tab and then click the dropdown name that you see. Your's might say something different, but mine says "Color." This should open up a section that shows you all the current Lightroom presets. Choose the "User Presets" tab and if done correctly, you should now see the Creative Travel Couples Presets Collection! Simply click on the preset you'd like to apply to your photo and then select the check at the bottom right corner when done! Now you can make slight changes to the photos until it's perfect.
